Known for his lovely tenor voice and flat-picking fiddle tunes on the guitar, Gord loves playing celtic music. Be it on mandolin or guitar, he knows his way around chords and tunes. He will gently share his knowledge and he might even guide you along in a song.
Born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Gord played bass in a High School band and toured with "The Little Red Hen Story Theatre". He was Artistic Director of the Regina Folk Festival and coordinator of the Emma Lake Fiddle Camp. He released one album with the wild celtic band "Iron Brew".
Gord is also responsible, along with concertina player Robin Beech, for the creation of the Montreal Session Tunebook.
